RESOLUTION NO. 8®8 ya7
WHEREAS, a native son of Waimea, Mr. Robson K. Chong, will soon
distinguish himself, his family, his friends and the Big Island,
when on December 8, 1983, he will be the first resident of this
County to become a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI); and
WHEREAS, Robson Chong, a 1978 graduate of Brigham Young
University (Hawaii) with a degree in accounting, had his early edu-
cation in Waimea and later at Honokaa High School where he lettered
in football, basketball and volleyball; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Chong's previous work experience in ranching, farm-
ing, construction and accounting, along with his upbringing in a
police oriented family, as his father Alvin Chong is a Captain of
the Hawaii Police Department and also a graduate of the FBI National
Academy, will surely enhance his newly achieved career.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it proudly extends commendations to Robson K. Chong upon
his attainment and assignment as a Special Agent to the Sacramento
Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
BE ZT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be instructed to
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Mr. Robson K. Chong.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be instructed to
transmit copies of this resolution to Mr. William H. Webster,
Director; Mr. John E. Otto, Executive Assistant Director; Mr.
William C. Ervin, Special Agent In Charge; Mr. Raymond P. Yelchak,
Special Agent In Charge; and to Mr. Michael J. Moroney, Special
Agent, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
