Goal: To provide volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 year of age or older.

Prolram Objectives: Volunteer numbers: 1,000 Volunteer Hours: 140,000
Output: Volunteer numbers: 1.871 Volunteer Hours: 155,225
Community Need Objective: RSVP volunteers will help serve congregate and home
delivered meals, or will work in support of programs providing elderly nutrition services, elderly
transportation and/or social activities. ~ Z _

Objective:
Volunteer Stations: 16 Volunteer numbers: 500 People Served: 1,200
Output:
Volunteer Stations: 17 Volunteer numbers: 572 People Served: 1,868
Impact: 1,868 elderly were served 157,009 meals through the congregate and Meals-
on-Wheels programs.
Outcome: Partially as a result of RSVP services, 95% or 1,775 elderly remained
independent during the grant year thereby avoiding premature institutionalization. This was
measured by the Hawaii County Nutrition Program (HCNP) client termination reports.
