Attached is a resolution introducing a proposed amendment to section 25-2-46 related to concurrency requirements. The proposed changes expand concurrency requirements to include parks and recreational facilities and firefighting facilities. The resolution requests that the planning director and planning commissions, pursuant to subsection 25-2-43(b), submit comments and recommendations on the proposed zoning code amendments as set forth in the attached bill for an ordinance, or prepare a similar bill for an ordinance to create concurrency standards for public parks and recreational facilities, and fire- fighting facilities in change of zone actions. The resolution requests that the proposed bill for an ordinance be transmitted to the council for consideration and action within 120 days from the transmittal date of this resolution to the planning director. The draft bill showing the proposed modifications to section 25-2-46 related to concurrency requirements is attached as Exhibit "A."
