The purpose of the grant is to combat the methamphetamine drug problem in the County of Hawai'i by conducting sting operations. The grant funds will be used to cover travel and overtime costs and to purchase equipment and supplies necessary to conduct these operations. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional funds into the HI Impact Grant account.
