Home My WebLink AboutRES 032 Draft 01 1998-2000 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION N0. 9Z 99 RESOLUTION CHANGING TIME ELEMENT OF GOLF COURSE STARTER 2/5T TO GOLF COURSE STARTER 1/2T WHEREAS, traditionally, rental of riding golf carts at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course had been a part of the operation of the concessionaire; and WHEREAS, in late 1995, the County of Hawaii assumed the golf cart assignment and collecting of cart rental fees without the "handling" of the carts (storing, washing, fueling, staging, minor servicing, picking up broken carts); and WHEREAS, on June 1, 1996, the County of Hawaii accepted responsibility of all duties relative to the golf cart rental, including °handling"; and WHEREAS, the additional duties included the collection of rental fees, assignment of carts, recordkeeping as to patron damage, maintaining order on the tees, enforcement of course rules, and regulation of non-conforming activities; and WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of Position No. 2837, Golf Course Starter 2/5T to Golf Course Starter 1/2T, the additional four (4) hours a week will enable management and the starter's office flexibility in planning work schedules, vacations, and other employee- related activities; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the Golf Course Overtime account. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Position No. 2837, Golf Course Starter 2/5T, SR-12, be changed to Golf Course Starter 1/2T, SR-12. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of $753.00 be transferred from the Golf Course Overtime account (090-561-5561.01- 021) into the Golf Course Regular Salaries and Wages account (090- 561-5561.01-011). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Departments of Parks & Recreation, Finance and Civil Service. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 4th day of March , 1999.
