RESOLUTION NO. - 712 WHEREAS, Police Detective John Kalawe has been selected as the 1980 Non -Supervisory County Government Employee of the Year; and WHEREAS, Detective Kalawe has been outstanding in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities as a detective in the Hawaii County Police Department; and WHEREAS, Detective Kalawe has not limited his accomplishments to his law enforcement duties, but has extended his outstanding leadership qualities into his community activities with such associations as the Puna Lions Club, the Puna Sacred Hearts Church, the Puna Buddhist Association, the Puna Filipino Community Associa- tion, the Puna School PTA, and the State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCILs-OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it commends Detective John Kalawe for being selected as the 1980 Non -Supervisory County Government Employee of. the Year and that he continue his outstanding work in making our co.amunity a safer and better place to live. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmit a copy of this resolution to Police Detective John Kalawe.
