Give reasons how new duties arose (statutes enacted, Ordinances, Newly authorized programs, basis for increased workloads, etc.): With the expansion of the Kona.offi'ce, the present structure has each legal stenographer assigend to one attorney, However, because one position is still vacant, and -the workload has increased., the necessity for a receptionist has become more apparent. 2. If reallocation, list only new duties. (Example: 1. Takes dictation 40 2. Keeps office accounts 30%, etc.): N/P. 3. Give reasons why new duties at higher level are needed and cannot be assigned to classes at higher level or handled in other ways' such as short term contracts, etc. (Use productivity measurements where possible.): This position cannot be hired on an emergency basis.or short term, since the training period would be completed and the time would be up. It is not feasible to have"either of the legal stenographers to keep working at the pace.,since the three attorneys are already keeping them very busy. q. Was reallocation or reclassification budgeted and if not, why were manpower needs not planned through budgetary process? N/A 5. List other rationale or pertinent statements and data: Because the CETA positions are only temporary, hopefully by the time the program terminates, we will be full -staffed. This will also help us plan future staff projections for the coming years. 11 6. Attach: 0 a. Old Table of Organization b. New Table of Organization with changes clearly visible C.
