RESOLUTION NO.-
WHEREAS, Erenio "Quirino" Arellano, has been retired since
1972 after 44 years of very creditable employment with Mauna Kea
Sugar Company; and
WHEREAS, Mr.. Arellano, a man of talented hands and mind, has
continued to occupy his retirement years with rewarding, satisfying
and healthful activities that are exemplary and admirable; and
WHEREAS, one of Mr. Arellano's artful creations is the famous
animal hedge located on his property in Papaikou, which has become
a landmark and widely admired visitor attraction; and
WHEREAS, Mr.. Arellano is a fine example of a productive retired
senior citizen who is still active in the mainstream of our community
activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that recognition and thanks be extended to Mr. Erenio Arellano
for the sharing of his creative talents and the enjoyment it provides.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a true copy of this resolution be
forwarded to Mr. Arellano.
