Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 5-3.3 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii
requires that the Council designate the depositories in which
County funds can be deposited;
WHEREAS, Act 51, Session Laws of Hawaii 1970, authorizes the
deposit of public funds in savings and loan associations insured
by the Federal Savings and Loan Corporation and doing business in
this state; and
WHEREAS, Hawaiian Federal Savings and Loan Association is
insured by the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation and
has an office in Hilo, Hawaii;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII:
1. That Hawaiian Federal Savings and Loan Association be
approved as a depository for County funds;
2. That the County Clerk be and he is hereby directed to
transmit certified copies of this Resolution to Hawaiian Federal
Savings and Loan Association and to the Director of Finance of
the County of Hawaii; and
3. That this Resolution be effective immediately.
