HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 629 Draft 01 1976-1980P.ESOLUTION NO. 629 WHEREAS, the 44th Annual District 50 Convention of the Lions Clubs in Hawaii will be held in Hilo, Hawaii, May 30 - June 1, 1980; and WHEREAS, the Lions International organization, with over one million members, is a strong, moving force of good in the world exerting tremendous influence for national welfare, international amity and peace, and human progress socially, culturally, and economically; and WHEREAS, the 67 Lions Clubs throughout Hawaii exemplify out- standing service and goodwill and have greatly contributed unselfishly to the betterment of our community: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends its congratulations and sincere appreciation to all the Lions in the State of Hawaii for being responsive and dedicated in serving their community without personal financial reward and in promoting high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, publid works and private endeavors-. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it extends its warmest aloha to every visiting delegate with a wish for an enjoyable and successful convention. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that true copies be sent to Lions International President, Lloyd Morgan and Lions Clubs' District Governor, Herbert Watanabe. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 30th day of May, 1980.
