WHEREAS, each year the counties select and recognize their
outstanding male and female senior citizens whose participation
has contributed toward the improvement of the quality of life
within the community; and
WHEREAS, Eileen E. Dempster has been named as one of the
Outstanding Older Americans for Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, Eileen E. Dempster was selected because of her
distinguished voluntary service to the community, her leadership
role in Senior Citizen activities, and her interest and personal
achievements as a senior citizen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that this body extends its congratulations to
Eileen E. Dempster on being selected the 1980 Outstanding Older
American for Hawaii County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of this
resolution to Eileen E. Dempster.
