HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 625 Draft 01 1976-1980G Y County of Hawaii --State of Hawaii Resolution WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department: FEDERAL/STATE/COUNTY-PROJECT FUNDED -EXEMPT POSITIONS PART-TIME (EXHIBIT D) SECTION 8.09 (e). ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION. Nutrition Program 1. Delete one position of Site Aid SR -4 (1/2 time). 2. Add one new position of Community Services Aid II SR -9 (3/4 time). This resolution shall amend the Salary Ordinance of 1979 and incorporate into the Salary Ordinance of 1980 after adoption. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the departments of Parks and Recreation, Finance and Personnel Services for their information. Dated this 3rd day of June 1980. The project is aimed at providing a minimum of one hot nutritious meal for the homebound and frail elderly unable to participate in social programs. 2. If reallocation, list only new duties. (Example: 1 dictation 400-; 2. Keeps office accounts 300, etc.): Takes 3. H DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL SERVICES COUNTY OF H.AW.AII COMMUNITY SERVICES AID I AND II (ELDERLY) Duties Summary: Under the direction of program specialists performs a variety of tasks relating to providing services to senior citizens; and performs other related duties. Di sting uishing Characteristics: Grade I: This level is characterized by tasks assignment under the direction of supervisors. Grade II. This level is characterized by its responsibility as a supervisor. Illustrative Examples of Work: Reports directly to -the program specialists and performs a variety of tasks inside and outside the office relating to services to senior citizens; contacts and assesses senior citizens regarding their needs; arranges contacts with health, social, education or recreation agencies; interprets functions of public and private agencies; personally escort older persons to agencies, shopping, medical centers, recreation centers, and etc.; provides limited homemaking services; assists in the "meals" project for homebound elderly; assists older persons in filling out government forms, etc.; maintains follow-up services for persons assigned to them; maintains records of assignments, contacts, mileage, and other records, as requested. Minimum Qualification Requirements: Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to completion of the 10th grade. license. .License Reouirement: Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's Knowledge of: basic skills in reading,.writing and speaking. Ability to: learn the goals, functions and activities of the specific program assigned to; undergo training and supervision; read and write and follow directions; establish and maintain favorable relationships with program partici- pants and others; in some programs, able to converse in the foreign language used in the area. COMMUNITY SERVICES AID I AND II -2- Physical Requirement: Persons seeking appointment to positions in this class must meet the health and physical condition standards deemed necessary and proper for performance of the duties.
