RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE
THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AN ORGANIZATION TO DEVELOP AND ADMINISTER
THE HOUSING PRESERVATION GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD)
is in the process of Requesting for Proposals (RFP) for an
organization to develop and administer the Housing Preservation
Grant (HPG) Program; and
WHEREAS, it is essential for the program that the organization
that is selected understands the rules and regulations; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County that the
organization enter into a multi-year contract; and
WHEREAS, Article X, Section 10-11, of the Hawaii County
Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal
year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made or approved by
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII, that in accordance with Article X, Section 10-11, of the
Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor of the County of Hawaii or his
authorized representative is authorized to execute a multi-year
contract requiring the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and
of more than one fiscal year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Office of Housing and Community Development.
