Resolution
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the County of Hawaii that the following amount
be and is hereby appropiatedltransferred as set forth below:
FUND: GENERAL
AMOUNT OF
APPROPRIATION: $10,000.00
OUT AND FROM: 010-116-5115.02-115 G-1712 RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT - OCE
CREDITED TO: 010-116-5115.30-115 G-1728 MANGANESE NODULE
The County of Hawaii is co-sponsor of a three-year study of manganese nodule
processing tailing/reject study with the State of Hawaii. These studies are deemed
vital to assure that environmental questions are adequately addressed and hence
assist us in the decision-making process relative to the potential development of
this industry on the Big Island. The original budget request understated our
financial obligation by 50%. Our commitment is for a total of $20,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed and in-
structed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance be and is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
