WHEREAS, MR. SHIGERU KANSAKO, Big Island sugar grower, has
been recognized for his extensive contributions and achievements
as a member of the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation; and
WHEREAS, M.R. KANSAKO has worked long and hard at our State
and national levels to preserve the viability of the sugar
industry; and
WHEREAS, MR. K_kNISAKO's unselfish dedication toward the Farm
Bureau's cause also extends beyond the sugar industry, he served
in key positions in the promotion of local agricultural products
at the Country Market and the 400 visiting travel writers from
Canada, the United States, Mexico and Latin America,
NOT7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it commends MR. SHIGERU KANSAKO for being selected
as the Outstanding Farm Bureau Member of the Year during the
32nd Annual Convention of the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that MR. KANSAKO be encouraged to
continue in his exemplary style of leadership in future activities
with the Farm Bureau.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
remit a true copy cf this resolution to MR. SHIGERU KANSAKO,
Outstanding Farm Bureau Member, 1979.
