Comm. 427: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 42, HAWAI‘I COUNTY
(Bill 106) CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO THE PUBLIC
ACCESS, OPEN SPACE AND NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION FUND
(requires the commission to list at least 10 properties which should be purchased, in order
of priority, in their annual report; strikes the ability for the council, by resolution, to select
the land or lands to be preserved; and provides for lands on the previous priority lists to
remain active while purchases are being negotiated)

(Bill 126) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 (appropriates additional revenues of $30,000 in the Federal
Grants - DUI & Crash Reconstruction Traffic Safety Training account; and appropriates
same to the Prosecutor’s Office, DUI & Crash Reconstruction Traffic Safety Training
account, bringing the total grant appropriation to $80,000)

Comm. 477: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE
(Bill 127) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 (increases revenues of $4,898 in the Federal Grants - Hawai‘i
(HI) Impact Grant account, and appropriates same to the HI Impact Grant account. These
funds will be used to cover travel and overtime costs and to purchase equipment and
supplies necessary to combat the methamphetamine drug problem in the County)

(Res. 223-09) AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO
HRS 46-7, FOR THE RECOVERY ACT JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG)
PROGRAM; and
Recommends adoption of Res. 223-09:

(Bill 128) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE
OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 {appropriates revenues in the following Federal Grants - Justice
Assistance Grant (JAG) Act accounts: Prosecutors ($150,000), and Police ($216,489);
and appropriates same respectively to the JAG Recovery Act, Prosecutors and Police
accounts; these funds will be used for 1) the Prosecutor’s Office to upgrade its computer
server environment which will enable them to immediately maintain a central data
repository, utilize system management tools and to implement the latest version of its
document management system; and 2) the Police Department to extend the Evidence
Specialist Program to August 15, 2011 and to purchase a digital camera system to
continue critical law enforcement efforts}

than a short period of time, the meeting will be terminated.
