Regarding - Bill 4115 - County Dog Parks
From - Ginger Towle - President

I understand that some dog owners would love to have an off-leash park for their pets.
However, I do have some concerns. During this extremely difficult financial time I'm concerned with
just where the funding would come from?
The extensive rules and regulations are well written and thought out, however, there again specifically
who will be manning the gates and verifying that the dogs coming in meets all the requirements? In
my years of experience I have found that while many people may support a project it's quite another
thing to get them to volunteer, especially on a continual basis.
I also would not want animal control officers, police officers or park personnel to be expected to take
on these regulations as part of their responsibility. All departments have more than they can handle
with their regular schedules.
Perhaps private parks would be a better solution at this time.
