RESOLUTION NO.. 472
WHEREAS, the Exchange Club of Hilo has set aside the
evening of August 23, 1979, for,its installation of officers
and recognition banquet; and
WHEREAS, the highlight will be the recognition of the
deserving members for their unselfish participation in the
many community service projects sponsored by the organization;
and
WHEREAS, the members of the Council of the County of Hawaii
have always encouraged and appreciated the involvement of
community service organizations in providing for a better
community; and
WHEREAS, the Exchange Club of Hilo has participated in a
joint project with the County of Hawaii in erecting an exhibit
area for the carabao at the Panaewa Zoo Complex; and
WHEREAS, it is through the cooperation of both government
and community service organizations that more services and
facilities will be made available to the respective communities
in an orderly and expeditious manner,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the Exchange Club of Hilo be commended for their
community service project at the Panaewa Zoo Complex and that
the Exchange Club of Hilo be encouraged to continue their
outstanding community service work in addressing the needs of
our communities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Ilawaii transmit a true copy of this resolution to the Exchange
Club of Hilo.
