Resolution
RESOLUTION NO. 467
WHEREAS, the Clerical Services Center is presently leasing
an IBM Magnetic Card II Selectric typewriter for $277.42 a month
under a lease dated February 1, 1976; and
WHEREAS, IBM Corporation allows a portion of paid lease
monies to be applied toward the purchase of the IBM Magnetic
Card II Selectric typewriter; and
WHEREAS, the amount of paid lease monies capable of
being credited toward the purchase of a typewriter is such
that it is in the best interest of the County to purchase
the IBM Magnetic Card II Selectric typewriter or its equivalent
at this time; and
WHEREAS, the purchase amount of $183.33 per month will
be less than the rental amount of $277.42 per month for the
IBM Magnetic Card II Selectric typewriter,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the Clerical Services Center is hereby
authorized to purchase an IBM Magnetic Card II Selectric type-
writer or its equivalent on an installment plan basis extending
over 36 months, and that necessary funds be provided in the
following three fiscal years to cover the obligation of the County
under the installment purchase agreement to be entered into by
the Mayor for the benefit of the Clerical Services Center.

RESOLUTION NO.- 463
WHEREAS, the 2nd Hawaiian Holiday Harvest Festival will once
again promote the island of Hawaii as the birthplace of Iiawaii's
Macadamia Nut Industry; and
WHEREAS, the town of Honokaa, the Macadamia Nut Capital of
the world, will be the host site for this extravaganza from
August 10-19, 1979; and
WHEREAS, this commemorative Harvest festival promises to be
a gala celebration featuring a beauty pageant; a women's softball
tournament; ethnic music and dances; a special golf tournament
using macadamia nut golf balls; the Jaycees' carnival; horse
racing; parades; and the Young Farmers Country Fair,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it extends its aloha and best wishes for..a most
successful festival to the organizers, supporters and participants
of the 2nd Annual Hawaiian Holiday Harvest Festival.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk, of the County of Hawaii
be directed to transmit a true copy of this resolution to the
Macadamians, Inc.
