Resolution
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Cooperative Fishery Research Unit,
under the leadership of James D. Parrish, Associate Professor
of Zoology, University of Hawaii, will be conducting a field
study of aquatic resources of the Puako Reef Tract; and
WHEREAS, the County Council supports such projects and
recognizes the value of their findings to the general public;
and
WHEREAS, the research effort requires the establishment of
a field station at Spencer Beach Park; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 364, adopted on June 3, 1978, provides
for the leasing or granting of licenses to governmental agencies
on such terms and conditions as deemed proper,
NOW, BE I`I RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Director of Finance is authorized to enter into an
agreement with the University of Hawaii for the utilization of
certain facilities located at Samuel Spencer Beach Park for
activities specifically related to the study.
