Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary.Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
FEDERAL AND STATE FUNDED -EXEMPT POSITIONS (EXHIBIT B)
ADD SECTION 8.01 (a). OFFICE OF COUNTY COUNCIL
Office of Hawaiian Affairs Program
State Funded
1. Add one new position of Election Assistant (OHA) SR -15.
(temporary position to terminate on June 30, 1980)
2. Add one new position of Election Clerk I (OHA) SR -7.
(temporary position to terminate on June 30, 1980)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of County Council, Finance, Personnel Services and
I Corporation Counsel for their information.

OFFICE OF COUNTY COUNCIL
I. ONE POSITION - ELECTION ASSISTANT (OHA) SR -15
A. Salary Range: SR -15
Minimum - $788.00; Maximum - $1,183.00
B. Proposed Job Description: Assists the Supervisor of Elections in the
administration of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs
registration and election program - plans,
organizes and implements voter registration program
for qualified Hawaiian voters; plans, organizes and
implements voter education program for OHA regis-
tration; and performs other related duties.
II. ONE POSITION - ELECTION CLERK I (OHA) SR -75
A. Salary Range: SR -7
Minimum - $606.00; Maximum - $901.00
B. Proposed Job Description: Registers electors; types and files general cards;
proofreads and makes corrections on printouts;
answer public inquiries about elections; types
letters, reports; etc.; and performs other related
duties.
Funding for the above positions: State funded - temporary positions to terminate
on June 30, 1980.
Rationale for the above requests:
To implement the provisions of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Program.
