to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
'FEDERAL/STATE/COUNTY- PROJECT FUNDED -EXEMPT POSITIONS (EXHIBIT C)
SECTION 8.09 (e). ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION.
Coordinated Services
1. Add one new position of Community Services Aid I SR -7.
This resolution shall amend the Salary Ordinances of 1978 and 1979.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Parks and Recreation, Finance, Personnel Services and
Corporation Counsel for their information.

COMMUNITY SERVICES AID I SR -7
A. Salary Range: SR -7
Minimum - $606.00; Maximum - $901.00
B. Funding - Federally funded (Title III)
C. Proposed Job Description: Provide transportation and escort services;
provide chore and personal care services; conduct
outreach activities to contact elderly not previously
served; and perform other related duties.
D. Rationale for the Request:
Need for a position in providing services to the handicapped,
disadvantaged and frail elderly in the Puna District. Presently,
there is no staff assigned to cover this district.
