Resolution No 446
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL in and for the County of Hawaii,
at a meeting held this date, that the Honorable Herbert T. Matayoshi, Mayor
of the County of Hawaii, be and he is hereby designated and authorized to
sign in the name of the County of Hawaii any and all documents necessary rela-
tive to the four approved projects under the provisions of the Flood Control
Act (5/17/50.), Section 216 Public Law 81-516.
1. Ainako Stream (59-9251-9-6)
(Near Waianuenue Avenue)
Concrete retaining wall (300+ ft. long) with safety fence.
(Cost estimate - $79,500)
2. Honokaa Stream (59-9251-9-7)
(Honokaa Playground Tennis Court area'.to Mamane Street)
Concrete retaining wall (250+ feet long) (Cost estimate $25,000)
3. Pahala (Paauau Gulch) (59-9251-9-8)
(Subdivision Vicinity of Belt Highway Junction to Village)
Concrete retaining wall, grouted masonry, rock excavation, and
debris removal (Cost estimate - $115,000)
4. Pszyk Road (Mt. View) (59-9251-9-9)
(Above Belt Highway)
Concrete retaining wall (300+ ft. long) (Cost estimate - $25,000)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL in and for the County of Hawaii, at
a meeting held this date, that the Honorable Herbert T. Matayoshi, Mayor of
the County of Hawaii, be and he is hereby appointed as the Contracting Officer
for the four Public Law 81-516 Projects with authority to delegate his respon-
sibility.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and he is hereby directed
to forward a copy of this resolution to the U.S. Soil Conservation Service
(Hilo and Honolulu), the Ka'u Soil and Water Conservation District, the State
Department of Land and Natural Resources,and to any interested government or
government agency.
