RESOLUTION NO.- 435
WHEREAS, George D. Hall, Jr., 71, has been selected as the
Outstanding Male Older American for Hawaii County 1979; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Iiall's combined active participation in community
service and senior citizen's programs span 29 years; and
WHERLAS, Mr. Hall's interests in public service organizations
include athletic endeavors such as the UH -Hilo Athletic Booster
Club where he has been most instrumental in the success of the
UH -Hilo Athletic program; and
WHEREAS, through Mr. Hall's singleness of purpose to furthering
local amateur sports programs here in the County, Mr. Hall won the
prestigious recognition of "Sportsman of the Year" for Hawaii County
in 1971,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it hereby commends,Mr. Hall for being honored as the
1979 Outstanding Male Older American for Hawaii County and that he
continues to display his dedicated enthusiasm to develop better
programs from youths through senior citizen activities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Mr. George D. Hall, Jr.
