WHEREAS, Mrs. rujino Takeuchi has been selected as the Outstanding
Female Older American for Hawaii County 1979; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Takeuchi, a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer
Program, devoted a tremendous amount of her time and efforts in
furthering numerous community organizational programs; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Takeuchi's volunteer work range from assisting
with Girls Scout activities, soliciting donations for the Hawaii
Heart Association, tutoring the kindergarten youngsters at Keaau
Elementary School to serving as a board member for the Hawaii County
Economic Opportunity District Council among others; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Takeuchi has contributed her skills and talents
with praiseworthy unselfishness for the development of an active
and progressive senior citizen's program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it hereby acknowledges Mrs. Fujino Takeuchi for being
selected as the Outstanding Female Older American for the County
of Hawaii and that she be encouraged to continue her unselfish
dedication toward the development of senior citizen -'s programs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Mrs. Fujino Takeuchi.
