Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
WIN (FEDERALLY FUNDED) (EXHIBIT F) Page 11
SECTION 8.08 (f-1). SOUTH HILO (DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, BUREAU OF
ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE)
1. Add one new position of Laborer I WB -2.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Public Works, Finance, Personnel Services, and
Corporation Counsel for their information.

LABORER I WB -2
A. Wage Board: WB -2
Minimum $633.00; Maximum $729.00
B. Proposed Job Description: Performs a variety of routine, repetitive manual
tasks -- loads, moves and unloads dirt, materials,
supplies and equipment; excavates with pick and
shovel; back fills hole and ditches; spreads
material for road patching; cleans culverts, cuts
grass, widens ditches and clears off rubbish;
sprays solutions for killing weeds; and performs
other related duties.
C. Funding: Federal funds. (Contract between State Department of Labor and
Industrial Relations and County of Hawaii.)
D. Rationale for the above Request:
To provide one year employment to WIN (work incentive) participants with
full time public service employment.
