Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
FEDERAL/STATE/COUNTY FUNDED (PART-TIME) (EXHIBIT D)
SECTION 8.09 (e). ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION.
Senior Community Service Employment Program
1. Reallocate one position of Teacher's Aid -Clerk $3.35 hourly to
Senior Community Services Aid $3.35 hourly.
2. Reallocate one position of Senior Recreation Aid $3.35 hourly
to Senior Community Services Aid $3.35 hourly.
3. Reallocate one position of Librarian Aid $3.35 hourly to
Senior Community Services Aid $3.35 hourly.
4. Reallocate one position of Clerical Aid $3.35 hourly to
Senior Community Services Aid $3.35 hourly.
5. Reallocate three positions of Maintenance Aid $3.35 hourly
to Senior Community Services Aid $3.35 hourly.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Parks and Recreation, Finance, Personnel Services and
Corporation Counsel for their information.

A. Rate of Pay:
Present: $3.35 hourly
Proposed: $3.35 hourly
B. Job Description:
Present Duties: Positions as noted above were classified according to the
task performed.
New Duties: Senior Community Services Aid: As assigned by the Director of
the Elderly Division, provides assistance to public or private
non-profit organizations throughout the island by performing
such tasks as custodial, groundskeeper/maintenance, clerical,
health care, van driver or assistant, outreach/referral,
nutrition aid, teacher's aid, or social services.
C. Rationale for the Request:
To better utilize the services of the employees, to give a broad classification
rather than that of a specialized one.
D. Funding:
Federally funded. No additional cost involved.
