Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
CETA TITLE VI (FEDERALLY FUNDED) (EXHIBIT F)
SECTION 8.02 (d). MASS TRANSPORTATION AGENCY. OFFICE OF THE MAYOR.
1. Add one new position of Mass Transit Analyst SR -12.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of the Mayor, Finance, Personnel Services, and Corporation
Counsel for their information.

MASS TRANSIT ANALYST SR -12
A. Salary Range: SR -12
Minimum - $754.00; Maximum - $1,131.00
B. Funding: Federally funded (CETA Title VI - Projects and Activities)
C. Proposed Job Description:
D. Rationale for the Request:
Prepares Mass Transit Agency's monthly report
requiring data capture statistical and financial
analyses and report writing, which report will
be analyzed for computerization; plans, implements
and reports on transit projects that can be
quantified; and performs other related duties.
Position is required for this project to fully explore the possibility
of optimizing and upgrading the transit's information system. Staff time
limitations preclude any further development of the information system.
Additionally, systems development to interface with an electronic data
processing system will require staff expertise that the proposed
demonstration project will develop.
