HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 388 Draft 01 1976-1980County of Hawaii --State of Hawaii Resolution WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department: CETA TITLE VI (FEDERALLY FUNDED) (EXHIBIT F) SECTION 8.06. DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT 1. Add one new position of Clerk -Stenographer SR -9 (temporary position to terminate in September 1980) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the departments of Research and Development, Finance, Personnel Services, and Corporation Counsel for their information. DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT NEW POSITION CLERK -STENOGRAPHER SR -9 (temporary position to terminate in September 1980) A. Salary Range: SR -9 Minimum - $661.00; Maximum - $987.00 B. Funding: Federally Funded (CETA Title VI) C. Proposed Job Description: D. Rationale for the Request: Assists the Agriculture Program Coordinator with the functions of the Anthurium Council by: arranging for meeting sites, notifying participants, recording minutes; typing of news releases, follow-up correspondence; maintaining financial records of product promotion programs, cooperative purchasing program, etc; setting up and maintaining files; setting up exhibits and other promotional events; and performs other related duties. Temporary position is required to assist the newly -formed Anthurium Council with the clerical functions which is vital to the success of the organization. The anthurium industry on this island has the potential of developing into a 20 - 25 million dollar industry and with this group organized into a cohesive unit, this goal can be achieved.
