Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary.Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
SECTION 5.10. FIRE DEPARTMENT.
1. Reallocate one position of Storekeeper SR -10 to Auxiliary
Services Technician SR -16.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Fire, Finance, Personnel Services, and Corporation
Counsel for their information.

STOREKEEPER SR -10 TO AUXILIARY SERVICES TECHNICIAN SR -16
A. Salary Range:
Present: SR -10
Minimum - $690.00; Maximum - $19032.00
Proposed: SR -16
Minimum - $901.00; Maximum - $1,359.00
B. Job Description:
From: Storekeeper
Present Duties: Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies,
tools and equipment; prepares requisitions; sets
up and maintains storekeeping system and procedures;
maintains stock control and inventory records; and
performs other related duties as required.
To: Auxiliary Services Technician
New Duties: Provides technical assistance in a planned depart-
mental maintenance and equipment program; prepares
plans and specifications for new equipment purchases;
maintains an effective purchasing and inventory
control system; participates in field emergencies
to develop and coordinate mobilization of food,
equipment and supplies; temporary supervisory
responsibilities over the Fire Alarm Dispatchers.
C. Rationale for the Request:
Assignment of partial duties and responsibilities of a non -funded position
of Fire Auxiliary Services Officer to the position of Storekeeper.
D. Funding:
An additional cost of $30.00 per month from present departmental budget.
