RESOLUTION NO. 82 99
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF A WHITE BENGAL TIGER
WHEREAS, Dirk Arthur of Illusioneering, Inc., World-Renowned
Magician in Bally's Production Show, "Jubilee', of 4370 West Torino Avenue, Las
Vegas, Nevada 89139, has donated a male White Bengal Tiger for the Panaewa
Rainforest Zoo; and
WHEREAS, the tiger, with an estimated value of FIFTEEN THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($15,000) will be used for educational and display purposes; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter
provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations
of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the
Hawaii County Charter, the Department of Parks & Recreation is authorized to
accept the male White Bengal Tiger.
