Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
FEDERAL AND STATE FUNDED (EXHIBIT B)
SECTION 8.02 (e). OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. OFFICE
OF THE MAYOR.
(FEDERALLY FUNDED -EXEMPT POSITIONS)
1. Add one new position of Community Development Technician
(Federal Grants) SR -15.
CETA TITLE II (FEDERALLY FUNDED) (EXHIBIT F)
SECTION 8.02 (e).. OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. OFFICE
OF THE MAYOR.
1. Delete one position of Community Development Technician
(Federal Grants) SR -15.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
the departments of Housing and Community Development, Finance, Personnel
Services and Corporation Counsel for their information.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN (FEDERAL GRANTS) SR -15
A. Salary Range: SR -15
Minimum - $862.00; Maximum - $1,297.00
B. Funding - Federal
C. Proposed Job Description: Works with various County and private agencies
assisting in preparing narratives and documentation
to support Community Development Block Grant and
other Federal grant applications including such
tasks as attending meetings and public hearings,
conferring with agencies and persons on projects,
working project related research, preparing simple
project budgets and preparing correspondence; and
other related duties.
D. Rationale:
Position is required because a similar position under the CETA
Program was "frozen" upon the resignation of the incumbent.
