RESOLUTION NO. 227 09
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF
MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPIER FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i wishes to enter multi-year lease agreement for five (5) years for a
copier for the Department of Finance; and
WHEREAS, the lease on the Accounts Division's current copier will be expiring soon so the division
wishes to enter into another lease for a multi-function copier; and
WHEREAS, the new copier will also be shared by the Finance Administration and Budget Office, once
the move back to the County Building is complete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDc8YTHE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for a copier
for the Department of Finance.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of
the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmit a copy of this resolution to the Department of
Finance.
