RE: Creation of an Ad Hoc Committee Relating to the Fiscal Year 2010 - 2011 Budget
Pursuant to Council Rule No. 7 and Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-2.5, I am requesting the
formation of an Ad Hoc Committee to investigate reductions in the salary and wages of
council members and other non union employees. This aspect of balancing the budget must
be explored in advance of the establishment of the Fiscal Year 2010 - 2011 Operating
Budget. I anticipate 30 minutes for the discussion and selection of the ad hoc committee
members by the Chair.
Please place this matter on the Council Agenda for September 2, 2009.
