Resolution
RELATING TO AMENDMENTS TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION AS PROPOSED
BY THE 1978 HAWAII STATE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION.
WHEREAS, the recently concluded 1978 Hawaii State Con-
stitutional Convention considered numerous proposed changes
to our State Constitution; and
WHEREAS, after three months of intensive deliberations
and public hearings, the Constitutional Convention has recom-
mended that a series of 34 proposed constitutional amendments
be submitted to a vote of the electorate at the General Elec-
tion to be held on November 7, 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF -THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that said Council supports the work of the
1978 Constitutional Convention by urging the electorate to
fully consider each proposition on its own merit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council directs the Clerk
of the.County of Hawaii to transmit copies of this resolution
to William W. Paty, Jr., President of the 1978 Constitutional
Convention, and to all news media representatives in the
County of Hawaii.
