Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 412, reports as follows:
Communication No. 412, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated June 22, 2009,
authorizes the acceptance of donations from Mr. Jack Clayton, Terminal Operations Supervisor,
and Tesoro Employees, Tesoro Hawaii Corporation.
The employees of Tesoro Hawaii Corporation have graciously donated fifty (50) $20 gift cards
(totaling $1,000) to the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division,
Nutrition Program. This donation is to be used for the Meals On Wheels program for all the
volunteers that help deliver meals island-wide to the Meals On Wheels clients.
Your Committee recommended acceptance of this donation on July 7, 2009. Items from all
committee agendas for July 7, 2009 were put to a re-vote due to issues of legality. The
remaining history and information regazding this measure is contained within the original
Finance Committee Report Number 69, dated July 7, 2009.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 412,
and recommends the acceptance of the donation.
