Kenoi, dated June 2, 2009, presents a Time Extension Request by Grace Community Church, at Honokohau 2"d, North Kona, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key 7-4-06:038. Bill No. 101 seeks to amend Condition D (Final Subdivision Approval) of Change of Zone Ordinance No. 98-08. The property is located on the east side of Palani Road, adjacent to and north of the Kona Christian Academy. Communication No. 408 reports that the Hawaii County Planning Commission, as required by Chapter 4, Sec. 6-4.3(C), Hawaii County Charter, considered the above request at its meeting on May 15, 2009. The Commission concurred with the Planning Director's reasons for recommending favorable consideration of the request. There were no statements from the public regarding this matter. Gary Summers, Assistant Pastor of Grace Community Church and Galen Kuba, Engineer for the Department of Public Works were present to answer questions from your Committee members. Committee Chair Donald Ikeda requested that Mr. Summers provide your Committee updated information and documentation including, but not limited to, correspondence from Department of Water Supply, Planning Department under the former administration and the current administration, escrow information, and other related and pertinent information. Mr. Summers also volunteered to provide your Committee with a written copy of "long and involved facts." PC Report 36 Your Committee concurs with the Planning Commission and the Planning Director's favorable recommendation for approval of the Time Extension request.
