Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
COmlllemlcatlOn No. 405 and Bill 98, reports as follows:
Bill 98, transmitted by Director of Public Works, Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication
No. 405, dated April 28, 2009, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2 (Moving Vehicles),
Section 24-265, Schedule 13 (Yield locations), paragraph (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County
Cade 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered
to read as follows:
"( ) Akolea Road, southbound approach to bridge adjacent to
parcels 2-5-6:130, 2-5-47:2, 2-5-56:41, and 2-5-56:43."
At its meeting of July 7, 2009, Your Committee recommended the passage of Bill 98 on first
reading. Items from all committee agendas for July 7, 2009 were put to a re-vote due to issues of
legality. The remaining history and information regarding this measure is contained within the
original Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee Report 22, dated July 7, 2009.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Bill 98 and recommends passage at first reading.
