Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 406 and Bill 99, reports as follows:
Bill 99, transmitted by Director of Public Works Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication No. 406,
dated June 1, 2009, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-255, Schedule 3
(25 mile per hour limit), paragraph (g), Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as
amended), by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
"( ) South Kopua Road."
At its meeting of July 7, 2009, Your Committee recommended passage of Bill 99 on Irst reading.
Items from all committee agendas for July 7, 2009 were put to a re-vote due to issues of legality.
The remaining history and information regarding this measure is contained within the original
Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee Report 23, dated July 7, 2009.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Bill 99 and recommends passage at first reading.
