Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 409 and Bill 102, reports as follows:
Bill 102, transmitted by Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi, via Communication No. 409, dated
June 10, 2009, amends Ordinance No. 09-48, Section 3, subsections (a) and (b) of section 5-2. L 1, to read
as follows:
"(a) The "2006 hrternational Energy Conservation Code", March 2007 Edition,
published by the INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL, INC., Publications,
4051 West Flossmoor Road, Country Club Hills, IL 60478-5795 [a+xl
„a„,....,~ ..o« ..« ~, ,o,..:.., v„~~ is adopted by reference and made a part
of this chapter, subject to the amendments hereinafter set Corth in this article.
(b) Copies of the 2006 International Energy. Conservation Code, March 2007
Edition, and amendments thereto shall be available for public inspection at the
department of public works and the oP(ice of the county clerk."
At its meeting of July 7, 2009, Your Committee recommended passage of Bill 102 on first reading. Items
from all committee agendas for July 7, 2009 were put to a re-vote due to issues of legality. The remaining
history and information regarding this measure is contained within the original Public Works and
Intergovernmental Relations Committee Report 25, dated July 7, 2009.
Your Committee on Public Works and hrtergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill 102 and recommends passage at first reading.
