RESOLUTION NO. 1112 82
WrtEREAS, {ors. Sakiko Aiya?o, Deputy Director of the Department of
Civil Service, will be retiring on June 29, 1932, bringing to a
close a most successful and brilliant career in county government
service; and
4Ti1%tt'i:AS, Ars. Miyao's career began in 1947 as a.
Jr. Clerk -Stenographer with the Office of the County Attorney; and
6IiiS.3rAS, her outstandQ3 skills, knowledge and diligent efforts
rewarded her with rapid advancement to Secretary to the Director of
Personnel.; and
9KREAS, in 1951 she was selected to fill the position of Deputy
Director of the Department of Civil Service; and
WHEREAS, Ars. Aiyao's mastership of the personnel functions as
prescribed by the Hawaii County Charter and the Hawaii State
Statutes is personified by her appointment as Chief Labor Negotiator
of the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Ars. Kiya.o's dedication and leadership qualities will
be missed by all who have had contact with her.
OU, THEREFO , aS IT RESOLVED BY TOE COUIICIL OF .THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it congratulates and extends its nest wishes to
Mrs. Sakiko Miyoo upon her retirement from county service.
BE IT FUATci R RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a. true copy of this resolution to Mrs. Sakiko Fliyao, Deputy
Director of the Department of Civil Service.
