RESOLUTION N0.114 99
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND
OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR UNLIMITED
WESTLAW ACCESS
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or
other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the cost of current Westlaw usage and compact disk subscriptions is
$1,425 monthly; and
WHEREAS, by entering into an Unlimited Usage Amendment to Westlaw Subscriber
Agreement, there will be a savings of $225 per month; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year agreement for a
period beginning August 1, 1999 and ending on July 31, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year Unlimited Usage
Amendment to Westlaw Subscriber Agreement.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligation of the County under the terms of the agreement.
