Re: HRA Application of Paul Kerkiewicz for Ice House
At its meeting of Maroh 16, 1999, the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency, based on the
public sentiment and the consent of the owner, voted to recommend and support the exchange of
property for the current ice house site. It was felt that if a land exchange could be made, the site
could be restored as part of Liliuokalani Park, which would be a more appropriate use for the
azea.
Thus, the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency is hereby requesting that you explore the
possibility of a land exchange for the ice plant site, which may ultimately work to the advantage
of all parties involved.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
