RESOLUTION N0.129 99
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND
OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPY MACHINE
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contrail, lease or
other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year lease with the
purchase option for five (5) years for a copy machine for the Kona Building Division office
located at 75-5706 Kuakini Highway (Hanama Place) in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, a copy machine has been rented monthly, which rent has doubled from
the previous year; and
WHEREAS, by entering into amulti-year lease with the purchase option, the monthly
rate would be approximately $200 less.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement
with purchase option for the acquisition of a copy machine for the Department of Public Works.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligation of the County under the terms of the agreement.
