Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 443, regarding Bill 112, reports as follows:
Bill 112, transmitted by Director of Public Works Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication No. 443,
dated July 13, 2009, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-274.1, Schedule 22.1,
(Traffic Signal Systems), paragraph (f), Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition),
to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
) Makala Boulevard/Luhia Street."
A new traffic signal at the subject location was installed as a part of the Kona Commons project.
This amendment was necessary to update the Hawaii County Code to reflect existing conditions.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Bill 112 and recommends passage at first reading.
