Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 445, regarding Bill 114, reports as follows:
Bill 114, transmitted by Director of Public Works Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication No. 445,
dated July 13, 2009, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-274.1, Schedule 22.1,
Traffic Signal Systems), paragraph (f), Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), to
be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
) Makala Boulevard, at the Kona Commons Driveway, one thousand
five hundred twentv-five southwest of Queen Ka`ahumanu
Highway."
A new traffic signal at the subject location was installed as a part of the Kona Commons project.
This amendment is necessary to update the Hawaii Comity Code to reflect existing conditions.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Bill 114 and recommends passage at first reading.
