HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 332 Draft 01 1980-1984o RESOLUTION NO. 332 82 WHEREAS, the 31st Annual Miss Aloha Hawaii Scholarship Pageant was successfully concluded on March 27, 1982, with the crowning of MISS LISA ANN KIM as the new reigning queen for the year 1982-1983; and WHEREAS, the theme for this year's annual pageant, "If They Could See Me Now," included thirteen beautiful, poised, and talented young ladies vying for the honors in several phases of competition in which LISA ANN K14 emerged as the deserving overall winner; and, WHEREAS, MISS KI14, a Junior at the University of Hawaii at Hilo will enhance her educational pursuits in business end personnel management as during her tenure as Miss Aloha Hawaii, she will have the opportunity to meet and converse with people of diverse talents and backgrounds. NUU, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COU14CIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends its congratulations to MISS LISA ANN SCIM, the 1932 Miss Aloha Hawaii, and wishes her success during her reign as the Chief Hostess of the Island of Hawaii, and hopes that she do well in her quest for added honors at the forthcoming 1982 Miss Hawaii competition. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be and is hereby instructed to remit true copies of this Resolution to MISS LISA ANN KIM; to her parents, Sunny and Cecelia Kim; her sponsor, Ken Fujiyama Realty, Inc.; and to the pageant's Executive Director, Richard Higgins of the Lehua Jaycees.
