RESOLUTION NO. 334 192
U RF.REAS, :MISS LISA ANTONETTE VISAYA has been crowned the
1982-1983 Miss Hawaii Filipina at the 13th Annual Fiesta Filipina
and 4iss Hawaii Filipina Pageant sponsored by the Big Island
Filipino Community Council; and
WHEREAS, this colorful and entertaining extravaganza themed "A
Rainbow Connection," featured six lovely and talented young ladies
vying for honors in several phases of competition in which
LISA ANTONETTE VISAYA emerged as the overall winner; and
WHEREAS, t1ISS VISAYA, a Senior at Waiakea High School,
planning to pursue a career in Fashion Design, will enhance her
goal as she meets and converses with many people here and abroad
as this islands official greater for the Filipino community.
NUv7, THEREFOR, By IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its congratulations to MISS LISA ANTONETTE
VISAYA, the 1982-1983 Miss Hawaii Filipina, and wishes her every
success during her reign and hope that she will do well in her
quest for added honors at the forthcoming Statewide Miss Hawaii
Filipina Pageant in June.
BE IT FURTHER £{ESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby instructed to remit true copies of this
Resolution to LISA ANTONETTE VISAYA; to her parents,
Mr. & Mrs. Urbano Visaya; her sponsor, Hilo Hawaiian Hotel; and to
Ms. Rosaline Gajeton, General Chairwoman, Miss Hawaii Filipina
Committee.
