Resolution
WHEREAS, Hawaii County is carrying out an on-going program of
beautification; and
WHEREAS, the State is generously coordinating with the efforts
of the County in this program; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Land and Natural Resources
has authorized a tree planting project at Kilohana below Ahumoa
cinder cone;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it wholeheartedly endorses this project and urges
full support by the County of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
forwarded to Mr. Susumu Ono, Chairman, Board of Land and Natural
Resources; Mr. Edgar A. Hamasu, Deputy Director, Department of Land'
and Natural Resources; Mr. Libert K. Landgraf, Administrator,
Division of Forestry and Wild Life; Mr. Roy Sue, State Parks
Administrator; Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Administrative Aide, Office of
the Mayor; and Mr. Hardy Iida, Hawaii County Beautification Coordinator.
