Resolution No. 288 82
WHEREAS, by petition dated November 6, 1978, and
supplemented on July 24, 1979, the owners of the Sunset View
Terrace Subdivision have petitioned this Council for
improvements consisting of a local water system at certain
land situated at Holualoa 4th, North Kona, Hawaii, the cost
to be borne by the property owners; and
WHEREAS, in said petition, the petitioners allege that
they are the owners of not less than sixty percent (60%) of
the entire assessable area within the proposed improvement
district; and
WHEREAS, said petition shows the necessary preliminary
scope of work, map and other data, details and preliminary
specifications for the proposed improvements, together with
estimates of the probable cost thereof, and shows a
description and an estimate of the share of the cost of the
improvement against the property subject to assessment
therefor; and
WHEREAS, the said petition has now been further and
fully considered by the Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII as follows:
That the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public
Works be and is hereby directed to investigate and report to
the Council preliminary data concerning the necessity,
feasibility, and method desirable for the aforementioned

water improvements in Sunset View Terrace Subdivision,
Holualoa 4th, District of North Kona, County and State of
Hawaii; and to include in his preliminary report all such
data, survey, maps, pians, drawings, details, and
specifications for the improvements and any other matters or
details intended to apply thereto.
That the County Clerk be directed to forthwith furnish
the petitioners and said Chief Engineer with a copy of this
resolution.
